Silent (No More!) Auction

The Silent (No More!) Auction, benefiting the Family Violence Prevention Center and UNC Hospitals’ Beacon Child and Family Program, is the primary fundraising event for these agencies and provides unrestricted funding for them. This annual event combines the generosity of local individuals and business owners who donate items with the competitive bidding and shopping enthusiasm of donors. |

The result is a lively event that raises significant funds for family violence services and prevention efforts, including the 24-hour hotline, support groups, court advocacy, and Latino services.
Tickets are $35 each and still available at the door this evening.
Domestic violence occurs in epidemic proportions (1 in 4 women) in Orange County; 3 victims call the Sheriff’s Department every night. You can help by supporting the family violence agencies in your community.
Your donation to this auction will help make it a success, by financing important programs to prevent and end family violence in our community. For example, last year:
FVPC answered 1,200 crisis calls on their 24-hour hotline and directly assisted over 600 victims of family violence – by finding shelter, providing safety planning, and helping with Protective Orders.
The Beacon Program provided services to 783 victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and elder abuse. These services include medical and psychological assessments, counseling, safety planning, and referrals for the UNC Health Care System’s patients and families.
YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY BY DONATING TO THE SILENT AUCTION. All proceeds will be used for direct client services.
