Community Education and Training

The purpose of Community Education and Training is to increase the awareness of domestic violence in our communities. We provide extensive domestic violence related education, training and public awareness opportunities including:
· Internships (up to one year) for graduate and undergraduate students.
· Volunteer training for hotline advocates, community educators, community advocates, bilingual translators and childcare providers.
· Professional trainings for government, business, and non-profit organizations.
· Educational programming including "Save The Date" - a teen dating violence curriculum.
· Public Service campaigns including Domestic Violence Awareness Month every October.
· In-service presentations for healthcare providers, school professionals, the police, and mental health/substance abuse clinicians.
· Community presentations for educational, civic, and religious groups.
· Resource tabling at community events, volunteer fairs, academic environments.
